Healthy Sweet Treats with a purpose!
As stated above the chef’s intention was to create a treat that served the purpose of fueling your body. Without any grains or processed sugars. Honestly Chef Nick used terms I was unfamiliar with “purposeful eating” and “clean eaters”. Which means being mindful of what you eat, that your food serves as clean fuel providing energy. Basically getting out of the habit of nibbling on chips or sweets when you are not hungry. And to have an awareness of eating the correct foods when you are hungry to supply energy.
Accordingly Chef Nick created sweet healthy treats that are filling and provide energy. Along with being absolutely delicious and offer additional benefits such as pre-biotic fiber. Which supports gut health and digestive function. We all know our gut is loaded with probiotics, prebiotics actually feed probiotics. Another way people are using these treats is as a meal replacement on the go. Especially breakfast or to fuel that afternoon slump.
